Our History
Competex began as a bright idea in the mind of our founder, Charles, during a business workshop for interim managers and consultants in 1998. Charles, a Chartered Accountant, saw the opportunity to build a specialist accounting practice for those going into business on their own account, as consultants, coaches and interim professionals, and so Competex was born.
Competex became the go-to accounting solution for interims and consultants and served over 2,000 independent professionals over the next decade. 26 years later, Competex has evolved to serve a range of businesses across many sectors, and we are happy to say some of our first clients are still with us!
The Competex Team

In 2018, Competex opened up its tax practice, headed up by Prabh Singh (ACCA). Prabh and his team offer tax planning advice to clients across a range of areas, with a particular specialism in property tax.
