Starting Interim Management
The ability to network is probably the most important requirement for interim managers. Given that interim providers only fulfill about 25% of available assignments, it is vital to build a network, maintain it and, above all, use it. To many people this skill does not come easily but hard work and perseverance will break through and networking becomes easier and more fruitful.

We are pleased to reproduce an article written by Hamish Davidson which goes a long way to setting out what a network is and how to create and use it effectively.

Hamish is a high profile figure and is well known in the interim and search industries. Formerly Chairman and Senior Partner of Rockpools, for many years he ran the resourcing arm of Price Waterhouse (later to become PricewaterhouseCoopers). When that division was sold to Capita, Hamish founded and became Chairman of a new subsidiary, Veredus Executive Resourcing incorporating Veredus Interim.
