Competex, originally incorporated in 1984, was re-launched in 1997 to exploit a gap in the market for a specialist company working for interim managers and management consultants. Much support was given by interim providers (and to them!) and this mutual relationship continues to this day.

Many months were spent setting up a complete routine for taking new clients through the whole process of company formation to company accounts with step-by-step guidance along the way. An important principle behind the initial work was the understanding that very few clients would have the knowledge, experience or indeed the desire to run their own company and this new system evolved around this premise.

Furthermore, a recent development has been the introduction of electronic company formations that enables new companies to be incorporated on the same day and often within hours. From time to time, Competex is represented at meetings of the Bulk Users Group at the Cardiff headquarters of Companies House.
